Rachel Powers

Rachel has 20 years of experience creating innovative products & services for consumers and businesses. She has worked with brands such as Apple, Google, Barnes & Noble, HSBC, HP, Intel, Motorola, Oracle and Yahoo, among others. She holds a BFA and MA. She is an inventor on several patents and has contributed to many international industry awards, such as Best of Innovation Honoree at CES, IDEA Design Excellence Award, GOOD Design Award, Red Dot Design Award, Core77 Design Award and many others.

Rachel is a VP of Innovation at CSAA and is an Industry Fellow at UC Berkeley. She has been a founder of several startups and ventures. Rachel currently teaches at UC Berkeley. Previously, she was a Professor at the IIT Institute of Design and Northwestern University, Segal Design Institute + Kellogg School of Management where she taught courses on entrepreneurship, design thinking and innovation.
