Even in a strong market, raising your first (or next) round of capital is harder than it looks, and fundraising often becomes a huge distraction.

Nathan Beckord, CFA and CEO of Foundersuite.com spent ten years in the trenches as interim CFO at over 100 companies that collectively raised over $200M in funding. He will share his methodology for "running an efficient process."

In this workshop you will learn:

  • How to build and qualify a target list of investor leads
  • How to secure the strongest possible "warm intro" (and what to do if you don't have a mutual connection)
  • How to run a streamlined process and drive momentum around your deal
  • How to close your round faster and with greater negotiating leverage.

The talk is chock full of fresh funding hacks, insider tips, and actionable tactics for helping succeed on the fundraising trail.

React Router, Redux & Lifecycle Methods

  •  Thursday, October 18
  • 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
  •  BRIIA
  • 2600 Camino Ramon, Suite 400
    San Ramon, CA 94583
  •  Registration now open!

This is an exploratory session to examine how React life cycle events work. We will use a sample project with React, React Router and Redux to examine which life cycle runs when across components. There are a couple of surprises in how things work.

Notes:

  • As usual, the session will be adapted to the level of the attendees. We will definitely spend some time learning about life cycles. However, we may spend more time on React Router and/or Redux.
  • Some of our sessions are pretty much free classes. This one isn't. We will review the sample app which demonstrates life cycles and I'll share what I know. Beyond that we are all learning together.

You do not need to run the sample app but if you want to, please have the below installed on your laptop.

OS: Mac, Linux or Windows

Code editor: VS Code, Atom, Sublime, . . .

Git

NodeJS (we are using v8.11.3)

Yarn

Create React App

Maybe MongoDB (TBD)
