Community Manager

Interested in building a community of entrepreneurs from the ground up?

BRIIA is the Bay Area's first integrated accelerator and incubator/entrepreneurial community for Data Innovation and the newest member of the Tri-Valley entrepreneurial ecosystem. Like the entrepreneurs we support, we are constantly looking for better ways to propel BRIIA as we help build and bolster the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Tri-Valley. If you are part community organizer, part entrepreneur, a great communicator and have a love supporting entrepreneurs as they grow, you will likely have what it takes to ace this role.

We're looking for the person that walks into a room of people and isn't afraid of striking up a conversation with anyone. Have your friends told you that you "light up a room" when you roll in? Maybe you've even done some recruiting for volunteers to help you with an event you cooked up. As BRIIA's Community Manager, you are the heart and soul of the BRIIA entrepreneurial community. Time commitment: Full or Part-time

Location: 2600 Camino Ramon, Suite 400, San Ramon, CA


  • Drive Coworking Community Membership Revenue (marketing, recruiting, onboarding, etc.)
  • Own "events" calendar (create, organize and host events that support BRIIA's mission)
  • Community Outreach (events, media, presence in the community)
  • Help with recruiting great companies for Accelerator Programs
  • Instigator of FUN!
  • Assist with support of donors and corporate sponsors
  • Be a contributing part of the team no matter what challenges arise!
  • Make sure our facilities are ready to welcome and support our members.

Responsibilities of all BRIIA staff (including the Community Manager):

  • Continuously improve operations and processes
  • Promote BRIIA, its mentors, programs and companies on Social media
  • Recruit and engage mentors
  • Ensure coworking Community works well on a day-to-day basis (aka Manager-on-duty)
  • Engage ecosystem (entrepreneurs, investors, schools, government, sponsors) by representing BRIIA at outside events
  • Assist in development and maintenance of metric tracking systems


  • Expected to work independently and be given significant responsibility
  • Entrepreneurial by nature (experience with startup organizations helpful)
  • Able to keep, maintain, and juggle multiple schedules and projects
  • Proficient in use of technology tools and programs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Team player
  • Great with details and follow up

Previous experiences:

  • community organizer and/or
  • recruiter and/or
  • experience in a great communicator, high-energy "get-it-done" role and/or
  • experience supporting entrepreneurs in an accelerator or other support organization

BRIIA Internship

Interested in entrepreneurship ? Interested in artificial intelligence? Join us as an Intern this fall!

The Bishop Ranch Intelligence Innovation Accelerator (BRIIA) is the Bay Area's first integrated business accelerator program and coworking community dedicated to data innovation. Based in San Ramon, our mission is to start and grow companies powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning.

We accept applications for interns on a rolling basis. You do not need to know all of the skills prior to the internship. We'll help you learn and adapt along the way with provided support. You do need to be willing to learn quickly and independently!

Time commitment: 8-12 hours/week

  • Support events hosted at BRIIA
  • Organize speakers
  • Promote events
  • Suggest topics and speakers for future events
  • Staff BRIIA's reception desk during coworking hours (M-F; 9-5 PM)
  • Welcome visitors and coworkers
  • Answer phone and questions from resident companies
  • Issue badges
  • Ensure kitchen and office area are orderly
  • Contribute to digital marketing and social media platforms by providing content
  • Participate in and record meetings with start-up accelerator companies
  • Conduct graphic design development: concept through completion for digital and print materials
  • Ability to network with entrepreneurs
  • Update the current website
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as needs arise

Qualification Requirements:

  • Student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with a graduation date of December 2017 or later
  • Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize workload involving multiple projects at one time
  • Strong ability to work independently and with a team
  • Willingness to take on a leadership role in timely project completion
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High-level of initiative, self-motivation, and creativity
  • Outgoing, confident, mature, and professional demeanor
  • Knowledge in Microsoft office products
